Lip Balm Protection Against The Winter

Posted by admin 25 October, 2008 (0) Comment

When the autumn and winter months arrive it can bring extra need to protect your skin from the harshness of the elements, the strong winds of autumn and cold days of winter can dry out the skin and especially areas where the skin is thinner.

Your lips can really suffer during these months and need extra protection to keep them moisturised and to build a protection barrier against the weather drying them out.

With the use of lip balm, regularly applied you can prevent your lips from becoming sore and will benefit from your lips looking fuller and healthier.

Sometimes if your lips become very dry and stay dry for too long then they can become split and painful and even bleed, once they dry out and split this much it can take longer than normal for the skin to heal and the area where the lip has split can sometimes shrink so that when you smile or stretch your mouth it pulls on the tightened area resulting in pain and the lip splitting and bleeding again.

By applying lipsil as much as you need to, both indoors and outdoors you can prevent your lips from drying out to the point that it causes you problems and help keep your lips looking fuller, beautiful and feeling soft.

One of the most common ways to apply lipsil is with the use of the readily available sticks, some contain other ingredients like vitamins too, there are also the smaller containers available where a finger is coated from the container and applied to the lips which some women prefer to use.

When using a finger to apply the balm to the lips its a good idea to wash your hands beforehand or at least use a cleansing wipe so that you dont contaminate the container of balm and so that you dont transfer germs to your lips and mouth.

Lip Balm can also be know as Lip Salve and Chap Stick.

Keep your lips soft and protected this winter and throughout the year.

Water = Life, Health And Beauty

Posted by admin 23 October, 2008 (0) Comment

Its safe to say that without water we cannot survive, it gives life to not only us but the many species of the planet, from animals, to birds, fish and plants.

As humans, about 55-60% of our body is water, within our muscles, blood, body fat and even bones, and although a human can go quite some time without food, there is a much more limited amount of time that a person can go without consuming water.

Many of us may drink plenty of fluids throughout the day and by doing that you are of course comsuming water but it will often be within tea or coffee, maybe fruit juices, fizzy drinks and for some people an evening alcoholic drink, but all of these drinks may contain suger and other ingredients depending on the choice.

If you can drink water on its own it can make quite a difference to your body overall, and keeping the body hydrated can really help your skin to look healthier, it can help keep your complexion clearer when combined with a sensible diet and your brain can even operate at an optimum level when you are properly hydrated.

Naturally not everyone is very excited when considering drinking plain water regularly each day, we get used to the excitement that our brains tell us of when our taste buds experience that tangy fruit juice or a lovely cup of tea or morning wakening coffee but you dont have to suddenly give up your favourite beverages, no one would expect you to.

If you can drink water all day, either tap water or bottled water, thats great, but if you cant, then at least a couple of glasses at different times of the day can still have its benefits.

Water is something that you will get used to drinking on its own after you get used to the idea and you may find yourself being able to comsume more of it as time goes on and replacing some of your less healthy drinks with a glass or small bottle of water.

Dont be fooled into thinking that bottled water is somehow better and purer though, you really dont have to go spending money on bottled water, tap water is fine, depending on the country that you live in and literally where you are getting your water from its not exactly always free but it is of course readily available and you will see the benefits of consuming more water and feel the benefits too.

Dont go overboard though, theres no need to start drinking massive amounts of water to the point that your running to the toilet every 5 minutes and it is possible to put too much strain on your body and organs by going way over the top with water consumption, but in general a steady and sensible increase in water will provide benefits for you when your working on looking beautiful.

Water brings life and beauty so definately include it as part of your beauty routine, its one of the most simple but precious things in life and you will thank yourself for it in years to come when your skin is still looking good and younger than your years because you kept your skin hydrated from the inside.

Vitamins And Beauty From Within

While there is a huge variety of external products available to enhance beauty, from the face, right down to your toes, it can be easy to forget that a lot of benefit can come from within the body and exactly what you put into it will make a difference to how your face and body looks as a result.

Your diet, if balanced well and including plenty of the right amount of vitamins and minerals can make a significant difference to your skin, teeth, your hair, eyes, pretty much everything, even your nails can benefit from getting enough vitamins into your system.

After having invested into various beauty products and treatments that you use and experience externally, its equally important to put the same effort into what goes into your body.

In time you will begin to see the benefits of a continued intake of vitamins.

The preference is to try and get most of your vitamin and mineral intake from food, and the fresher the food the better, but as many people lead quite busy lives its understandable if you dont have the time to prepare every meal exactly how it needs to be to get the maximum benefit.

So the convenience of using vitamin supplements can be very useful in helping you to reach a recommended daily intake of vitamins, and especially any vitamins that you may have a deficiency of in your body.

The mistake that some people make is to rely completely on supplements for their intake of vitamins, or worse still some people will believe that its ok to eat lots of junk and processed food and as long as they take a handful of supplements that it will all balance itself out, but this is wrong and the supplements that you choose to use should compliment a healthy and balanced diet only.

Where vitamin supplements can come in handy is when an individual may need more of a particular vitamin but may have a dislike of the very foods that are high in this particular vitamin, or an intolerance to a food or drink, so a supplement in tablet form can mean that they still receive their intake without having to try and comsume a food that they are not particularly fond of.

Continued intake of vitamins through food and supplements is important, taking them for a short time and then stopping, or eating healthy for a month and then stopping will have limited benefit.

If you can get the balance of beauty within, as well as external beauty then you will find that it all comes together very well, and you will notice a difference in your skin, your eyes, your hair and will find that your quest for beauty is already half done and if you get that goodness into your body it will radiate outwards and not only have you looking fantastic but feeling fantastic too.
