Using Lotions And Creams While They Are Most Fresh

Posted by admin 27 December, 2008 (0) Comment

When using moisturizers and other products on your skin you may find that some go a long way, so you dont have to use much and you find a bottle or container might last you for ages.

In your home the temperatures may fluctuate due to the use of heating, cold days and milder days can sometimes make a difference to how thick or thin a lotion may appear when your dispensing it.

If you have a large bottle of lotion but you dont use it everyday, or you even forget about it then dig it out from behind a load of other products or you left the lid slightly up on it, it can allow air to get in, and naturally each time you open a bottle, tub or anything else to use what you need it is letting air in.

After sometime of a moisturizer or similar product being in your home you may notice that it doesn’t keep the same texture and with some products you can begin to see the moisturizer sort of seperating from an oily and thinner liquid, it may just take a bit of a shake or for you to turn the bottle upside down for a minute or so for the moisturizer to mix back to its normal consistency but sometimes it can be a sign that the lotion is beginning to go off.

It probably wont smell any different, unlike how food does when its past its recommended date and many lotions wont really have a use by date but what can happen if you use a lotion when its not at its best is you can actually experience the opposite of what you are actually usng the product for.

If its a body or facial moisturizer it may actually give you dry skin because its not working how it should do and the lotion is not at its most fresh state, you may begin to get dry areas and experience irritation on any area that it is applied to and the longer that you carry on using it the longer you will experience the irritation and dryness, maybe not realising that the lotion should have been replaced with a fresh new bottle or tub of the product.

When you purchase a product theres no need to panick and think that it has to be used up at a super quick rate but it can be beneficial to you in the sense of saving you from wastage and also saving you from irritated skin by using up a product not too long after you bought it and to try and avoid pushing already opened products behind your products at home where they may get temporarily forgotten about then dug out and used at a later date only to find that the product is not at its best now and not doing for your skin what it was purchased to do.

Being Delicate When Applying Products

Posted by admin 22 December, 2008 (0) Comment

When trying to keep up with everything in your daily routine dealing with work, maybe children, and everything else you may find yourself struggling to find time to pamper yourself properly and instead finding that you have to squeeze in a few minutes here and there to apply your beauty products, whether it be a face cream, hand cream, all over lotion or something else.

While your rushing to apply a product its all too easy to do it in a quick and rather harsh fmanner and on certain areas of your face and body your skin may not be able to take too much of that and can result in certain areas looking more tired than they should.

Extra care should be taken for the whole face and you should apply a moisturizer or any other product softly, evenly and in a manner that does not have you stretching and pulling on the skin.

Under the eyes can be very delicate and as you will know, over the years as you age this is an area that can show signs of ageing more than other areas of your face, you want to give extra special care to the area under the eyes, making sure that your not rubbing at that area but gently applying a product with the minimum amount of pressure and drag.

Another reason to apply products carefully to your face is because rushing it can end up with you poking yourself in the eye, maybe scratching a fingernail against your face or accidentally rubbing cream into your eyes which could cause redness and infection.

Its easy to see how beauty efforts if rushed and not performed gently can sometimes, through accidents do more harm temporarily and in the long term could loosen the skin in very delicate areas.

When applying moisturizers and other products to your body, dont be lured into believing that if your rub in the product vigorously that you are somehow doing your skin more good, theres simply no need to apply a product to your skin in a forceful manner and any decent product will be absorbed into your skin properly.

Your job is to make sure that you apply to all areas that you wish the product to benefit from, nice and gently and then allow your skin to do the rest of the work itself by soaking up the moisturizer or whatever product you have applied and you will receive maximum benefit this way.

It also saves you from wasting any of what you are using, if you apply as you require then apply some more to cover the next area of your skin, you dont end up with excess sitting on the surface of your skin unnecessarily.

Treat your skin how you want it to look, both now and in the future, gently massaging products in slowly and carefully and always taking that extra care around the really delicate and thinner skinned areas of your face especially and your body.
