Dealing With Facial Spots

Posted by admin 25 February, 2009 (0) Comment

Nobody likes an outbreak of spots, whether its just a couple or more, the first thing that you usually want to do is get rid of them as quickly as possible.

There are many ways of dealing with spots, some for a relatively quick fix, when dealing with one or two spots and other more long term approaches in order to prevent spots from appearing in the first place.

What actually works and what works best for each person requires experimentation but listed below are some ideas for dealing with spots and ideally for keeping any occurance of spots minimal.

When you already have spots:

  • Toothpaste
  • TCP (Probably best avoided on open skin though)
  • Lemon Juice
  • Clearasil or a similar product
  • Olive Oil
  • Sudocrem

For The Prevention Of Spots

  • Facial Skincare Routine, including exfoliation, toner and moisturising.
  • Diet, reducing the amounts of less healthy oils within your food intake.
  • A product like Clean & Clear, try opting for something not too harsh on the skin.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Avoid becoming tired and run down, easier said than done, i know.
  • A good balanced diet, including plenty of vitamins.
  • Fresh Air.
  • Mild exposure to the sun when possible.
  • Possibly switching to organic cleansing and makeup products.

Some products and approaches wont work for some people, and in cases of where its not just a few spots but deep acne then a visit to your local GP to get advice on what may be the best approach for you is a good idea.

A GP may suggest you see a specialist, depending on any severity of acne that you may be experiencing.

But for general facial spots that appear, then the above suggestions can go some way to preventing them from appearing and if any do appear you can get rid of them a bit quicker by trying some of the simple methods above.

Using Lip Plumpers

full-lipsFortunately you dont have to opt for cosmetic surgery if you’re looking to enhance the fullness of your lips temporarily and give them a plumper and sexy look.

There are plenty of lip plumpers available on the market, some work better than others and some are quite reasonably priced, but you may have to try a few out to find one that your comfortable using on your lips and also that gives you the desired result.

You will quite often get a tingly feeling and some users will be fine with that and maybe even quite like the sensation but for some they may not like this sensation on their lips or may suffer an itching feeling after the lip plumpr is applied to the lips.

Another sensation that some of them will give is a numbness to your lips, often the feeling will go after a few minutes, the ingredients within a lip plumper product help to create a swelling and plump up the lips but you may be very sensitive to the ingredients within the product so you need to try a brand and see how your lips react to a lip plumper.

But if you find an affordable lip plumper that you’re happy with then it beats any type of drastic measure to enhance the fullness of your lips and you can choose to just give your lips the pouting look for nights out and other occasions if you dont feel that you want that look during the day, for example at work.

Storing Your Perfumes For Freshness

Posted by admin 4 February, 2009 (0) Comment

perfume-bottleSome women will remove all of their perfumes from the boxes and throw away the boxes leaving each perfume out on display in the bedroom or placed somewhere in the bathroom but this is not the ideal way to store your perfumes.

Light will affect how long your perfume will last, especially if you choose to place your perfume bottles on a window sill and out of their boxes.

Heat changes will also affect the perfume so its best for you not to store them in your bathroom where changes in temperature will occur regularly.

If you leave a perfume bottle outside of the box and its kept like that for long periods of time then with some perfumes you can notice a color change and a change in the fragrance itself, so after any use of your perfume it pays to pop it straight back into its box.

Even if you cant be bothered with closing the box each time but at least placing the bottle back into its own box its going to help at keeping sunlight away from it a fair bit.

You will keep your perfumes fresh and lasting for plenty of time if you keep them away from direct sunlight and temperature extremes.

Its worth it for the price that you may pay for some of your perfumes.
