Why Sunless Tanning Makes More Sense

Posted by admin 30 April, 2009 (0) Comment

With the amount of sunless tanners available to buy its sometimes difficult to understand why people are still drawn to using sunbeds, even though there are repair products available.

The very word repair and needing to use a product that is to try and counteract some of the effects of a quick session on the sunbed should have most people thinking and asking themselves if they really want to carry on using a sunbed as much as they do.

The premature wrinkling that can occur at quite young ages should be enough to concern most people, yet so many still are heavy users of sunbeds.

I guess the convenience of using a sunbed can appeal to people and some may have less time for applying creams, gels and sprays and some of the various other efforts involved with a tanning routine at times, like exfoliation.

Even if you find yourself struggling for time to apply lotions, theres always spray tanning, some prefer a spray tan at a booth while others dont and prefer to do their tanning at home and have a regular routine for this.

For years to come, there is always going to be people who prefer to use sunbeds over the other available options but most of these users are going to find themselves dealing with damage done to their skin and the repair is harder to deal with over prolonged exposure to sunbeds.

You could actually save yourself money in years to come by preventing the damage from sunbeds and of course from the sun itself by choosing the sunless tanning options instead.

As sunless tanning continues to be improved you wll benefit from not only the healthy color but also great looking skin that stays looking younger for longer.

A tan on almost anyone looks great but a tan on healthy, undamaged and protected skin looks fantastic.

Using a High SPF Cream Even On Cloudy Days

Posted by admin 16 April, 2009 (0) Comment

sunshine-and-cloudsQuite naturally, people associate SPF creams with use when the sun is shining brightly, on those hot summer days and feel this is the only time that they need to be using protective creams but the fact is that even when the skies are overcast and cloudy it is still a good idea to use a sun protection cream.

One of the major, actually probably the most major contributer to wrinkles is damage from the sun, excessive tanning and exposure to the sun will definately age your skin prematurely as well as tanning from sunbeds.

Even with overcast skies, if you are outside for a few hours, especially when on the coast, it can be quite easy to get a touch of sunburn if your fair skinned.

The mistake some people can make is by thinking that if they cant see the sun shining up in a clear blue sky that its somehow less dangerous and damaging for their skin but the UVA and UVB rays are still filtering through and this is why using a cream with a high SPF is a good idea, even for those types of days.

You might be thinking that this is only needed in hotter climates, but its actually needed in any type of climate, the benefit that you will gain will be noticeable over the years, by protecting your skin in this way you are not only lowering the potential amount of wrinkles as you get older but also other problems that the harmful rays from the sun can cause.

Using a product with an SPF of 30 upwards is a good idea as you are really getting good protection and used daily on any area of your skin that is exposed will provide long term benefits for you.

So remember, even if the sun isn’t glaring and its not exactly one of the warmest days of the year, you should still protect your exposed skin with a high SPF cream.
