Facial Exercises

As you get older, no matter how well you look after yourself and how many products you regularly use, you are bound to see some changes to your face over time and notice the skin starting to drop slightly and lose its firmness.

This can change the look of your face slightly as you begin to see differences around the mouth area and under the chin most commonly.

It is perfectly natural and as age takes its toll it’s normal that the skin wont be able to hold your facial appearance with the look that it once did.

See it as a mini workout for your facial muscles, its perfectly safe to do, you can improve the facial muscles around the cheek area, mouth, forehead, chin and neck .

You will also find that facial exercises combined with the products that you use end up complimenting each other, as the combined benefit gives an overall better result.

The Amount Of Eye Cream To Use

eyesWhen you’re using eye creams of various sorts it becomes tempting and a habit for some to use quite a lot around the eyes feeling that more cream will mean less lines but it can infact have the opposite effect of what you hope for if you use too much cream during each application.

Because the skin around our eyes is thinner and quite sensitive it can mean that excess cream build up around this area can infact emphasize and exaggerate the depth of the visible lines because too much cream builds up a surface that wont be absorbed properly and in turn because you see what appears to be even deeper lines you begin to use even more of the product that you’re using, only to worsen the situation.

Ideally an amount the size of a grain of rice or just slightly more is ample for each eye, it can be tempting to use more but this amount really should be enough as it’s a much smaller area to cover.

Less is more when it comes to eye creams, as long as you apply it often enough and do what else you can do lessen those eye lines, like getting enough sleep and not pulling on the skin can both help.

Changes In Diet And Facial Skin

A sudden or gradual change in your diet can often make noticeable changes to your skin, it can go in either direction where you start to see problems or where you actually see a good improvement.

Not just what you eat but the times that you eat and even possible food allergies can bring about negative effects for your skin and you may begin to see your facial skin dulling, or getting breakouts of spots or other issues that you had not had to deal with so much before.

One way of finding out if a change in your skin has been down to a change in your diet is by looking at what you have currently been eating and how your diet has been over the last few weeks or months, if you can clearly see where a change in your skin started to happen its possible that the change is down to changes in your diet.

This of course wont necessarily mean problems for your skin but actually improvement, you may have increased good foods, getting better nutrition, water intake and you’re now seeing the benefits from this, but if you’re seeing problems with your skin and you know that your diet has been going in a bad direction and that you have been eating a lot of the wrong foods then it gives you a clear indication of what you need to do next to see improvement to your skin in the near future.

Sometimes a sudden change in the appearance of your skin wont be down to your diet, especially if you know that you have been doing everything right, and in these cases it may be worth a visit to your GP, as changes to your complexion, if combined with health issues that you may be noticing, can be down to other matters and are worth being checked out by a professional.

But fortunately in the majority of cases where you suddenly notice your skin going wrong it can just mean a bit of a clean up of your diet is all that is needed to bring back your lovely complexion.
