Getting Your Beauty Sleep
A major contributor towards how we look each day and eventually how we look years from now is down to the amount of sleep and proper rest that we get and also how well we keep to a stable sleep pattern.
Its very easy to miss out on sleep, sometimes sitting up later than usual to watch a film or a hectic day that leaves you with very little time and unable to get to bed earlier than you had hoped.
This is understandable as sometimes its just difficult to get an early night and you cant predict unexpected visitors, a chore needing to be done within your home or anything else.
If at all possible though, you should put as much effort into trying to get to bed at a time that you know will give you enough hours of sleep, most of us get to know how much sleep we can get by on in order to function at a normal level throughout the day, but this should not be confused with the amount of sleep that you may need in order to look refreshed and to lessen any shadows and tiredness around the eyes and the overall look of your face.
Your body and mind can often adapt to getting not enough sleep and if it goes on for long enough and your only getting 5 or 6 hours sleep each night or whenever you sleep you may start to feel that this is all that you need, by then you have probably got used to feeling not fully refreshed and may begin to think this is as good as you can achieve.
And you may keep weekend mornings for trying to “catch up” on your sleep and getting a lie-in, but i personally believe that a person cannot catch up on sleep that they should have got during the week.
Often a lie-in after nights of not enough sleep can have you waking up feeling more sluggish and you may notice that it takes longer for you to feel fully awake after you have lay- in for a morning.
Its much better to try and get the same amount of sleep each night, and to get up at around the same time each morning.
By doing this you allow your body to get used to this awake and asleep cycle, your body clock gets used to the times, instead of having to constantly adjust to different times.
After a couple of nights of good sleep you may begin to feel a whole lot better, but its usually going to take more than just a couple of good nights sleep before you begin to see a change in your facial appearance.
If through tiredness you experience dry, sore or even sticky feeling eyes, sometimes itchy, slowly you will feel all of this beginning to ease, redness of the eyes, burst blood vessels and the overall health of your eyes and their appearance will be greatly improved.
Through tiredness you have probably suffered from incrased eyestrain, squinting and frowning and of course this can lead to fine lines appearing around the eyes, creases on the forehead and you probably haven’t realised that you have been doing this at times.
Your immune sytem may be lower than normal due to continued lack of sleep, as a result you can end up catching colds and viruses, possibly getting occasional pimples and spots on the skin and again contributing to a run down and tired look, but as you begin to get your sleep pattern sorted and stick to it you see a great improvement.
Your face begins to look bright, healthier, you feel better, that frowning and tiredness of the eyes begins to ease, its like a new you.
Best of all the results come not from some wonder product, not from something expensive, but from yourself and your determination to get enough rest and quality sleep, your body gets used to your better sleep pattern and to going to bed and getting up at around the same times and rewards you with a better looking you.
Each morning sleeping beauty awakes and you like what you see in the mirror, you are rewarded for your effort, your body thanks you and combined with your other beauty practices you begin to get the most from it all and really do look your best.
